Representation Summary:

I live in the centre of your proposed development site at Oak Lodge, Beeby Road, Scraptoft. I am going to suffer noise, dust, dirt and daily inconvenience during any building. I am likely to have my visual and living amenity seriously curtailed at the end of your project. You have now put me in a position where I am unlikely to be able to sell my house without huge financial loss in the near future in view of your proposed plans.

I am contacting you to express my concern over your proposals to develop 1200 houses on the Scraptoft golf course site.
My first comment is that you have come up with significant plans to develop the site with a truly massive local building project and I have not informed of these plans by MH council even though they will have a massive negative effect on my life, family and property.
Unfortunately I live in the centre of your proposed development site at Oak Lodge, Beeby Road, Scraptoft.
Worst of all there is no opportunity to express my true concerns via your website comments system as you only have boxes with limited word space and limited flexibility. Your local plan also contains hundreds of pages with inadequate time to read them all and respond within the six days since I found out about this. The only reason I found out was because of a local meeting on this problem organised by local people in Scraptoft but not by MH council. Unfortunately I was unable to attend as I was working but my wife attended and has been extremely distressed and had sleepless nights over your proposals.
Is it normal for local councils to make such proposals without informing and allowing timely involvement of the people affected?
I would like you to consider this to be a serious complaint and I expect a full and considered response from the highest level.
