I consider the Local Plan to be unsound because it does not take into account the lack of road infrastructure in the area to account of the extra traffic.
The roads are already saturated at peak times. This will get worse as 300 house developments take place on Pulford Drive and at Bushy Woods . Also the 4,500 houses at Thurmaston and Barkby Thorpe, some of which will use Hamilton Lane to get to the A47.
The village streets are narrow and there are often hold ups.
I consider the Local Plan to be unsound because it does not take into account the lack of road infrastructure in the area to account of the extra traffic.
The roads are already saturated at peak times when major queuing can be up to half a mile up Station Road. This will get worse as developments take place on Pulford Drive approximately 300 houses, at Bushy Woods approximately 300 houses. Also the 4,500 houses at Thurmaston and Barkby Thorpe, some of which will use Hamilton Lane to get to the A47.
Also the village streets are narrow and in the morning there are often hold ups because of delivery lorries to the Co-Op trying to park.
