Representation Summary:

The village of scraptoft is situated in a valley and forms part of a flood plain. The building of 1200 houses on the surrounding higher ground will increase the amount of surface water. The Scraptoft brook has limited capacity and often floods where it passes under Hamilton Lane. After a heavy rain storm water often runs down Church Hill into Main Street. This has increased since the building of houses around the Hall. The geographical location of Scraptoft and an increasing amount of rainfall, due to climate change, will create real problems in the future.
