The proposal is not sound because Keyham Lane West would need to be upgraded, and it already contains two large schools and a bus route and has recently received traffic calming measures. Any upgrading to Keyham Lane West is not mentioned in the plan. A similar problem will relate to New Romney Crescent, and the additional traffic leaving the village will contribute to the existing traffic congestion on Station Road every week day. This is a road that cannot be widened and additional traffic will add to the traffic problems already experienced on a daily basis at the A47 junction.
