Representation Summary:

The current system of roads we currently have are totally unsuitable for such a development and there is little or no way these can be improved

Full text:

The building of 1200 houses cannot be sustained within the current road structure in the area. Currently Station Road comes to a standstill at peak times and this will greatly increase with the huge increase in population proposed. Keyham Lane West has recently had a large number of houses built up to the edge of the road and has also been subjected to significant traffic calming measures. This road cannot be significantly improved and other proposals will just make Beeby Road and New Romney Crescent rat runs for the increasing traffic to enable drivers to get onto Scraptoft Lane and Station Road. Neither road can sustain such an increase and there is no room for improvements to these roads.
