Financial contribution will not mitigate effects of this developement. It is stated in the proposed strategy that traffic will increase by 24% which is not sustainable as roads are already near gridlock. The new road on the Airfield Farm development will become 'an outer ring road' linking with Alvington Way and The Ridgeway to avoid the town centre increasing traffic in this area. The car is the most used mode of transport from this area due to the distance from amenities. Bus route is underused and proposed formal bus stops will not encourage use of public transport.
