Historic Interest

The current village shop and post office moved into this building in 1999. Kelly's Directory of 1888 indicates that this was Warner's grocery shop and by Kelly's Directory of 1936 it has become Warner's butcher's shop. For over 130 years this shop has served meat and other groceries to local residents.

Architectural Interest

The shop is part of a row of stone buildings on Springbank. It retains original Victorian features and is a prominent feature in the village centre.
