Representation Summary:

Leicestershire Counry Council ecological dept have recently confirmed that they have evidence of ponds on or near this site to have had Great Crested Newts. A residential pond 10m from the site boundary also has evidence that it is a breeding site for Great Crested Newts. Other protected species mainly bats and badgers have been seen on the is proposed site. The Tree belt screening has enhanced the area and has inadvertly become a corridor for wildlife - owls, muncjack deer, foxes, snakes, birds of prey. The proximity to the Grand Union Canal is also a factor
