Re site TB1:
The A47 is already a busy road, taking all the traffic to and from the east. The proposed site is next to an existing 275 homes site whose traffic all enters and exits the A47 at this point. An extra 125 homes would exacerbate the traffic congestion.
Not only the flooding risk from Thurnby Brook needs to be taken into account but also the risk of flooding arising from the surface water running off the roofs and driveways of new houses.
There is a protected species which is very active on this site.

The present infrastructure is not capable of supporting 950 houses.
The school would not be sufficient if the suggested number of houses are built.
Traffic increase from S1 and the Thorpebury estate travelling East to the A47 has to use Station Lane.
The Green Wedge should include Covert Lane, an important area for walking and wildlife. S1 is on a hill, so very prominent negating the effect of the Green Wedge.
Risk of flooding arising from the S1 surface water.
Some houses on Station Lane were excavated out of the hillside so susceptible to flooding.
Please add suitable words to address our concerns.
Re site S1:
Re the following items in the Plan:
1.a) The present infrastructure is not capable of supporting 950 houses at Scraptoft.
1.b) The suggested school would not be sufficient taking into account the increase in population due to recent large developments and the potential increase if the suggested number of houses are built.
1.d) Station Lane/Station Road has always been a very busy road. The amount of traffic will increase considerably with the building of the Thorpebury estate as Hamilton Lane, Station Lane/Station Road is the only access to the A47 for people travelling eastwards. Also, stricter speed limits would need to be imposed.
1.e) The Green Wedge should include Covert Lane as this is an important area for walking and wildlife. In view of the proposed houses at Scraptoft being on a hill they will be very prominent which will lessen or negate the effect of the Green Wedge.
1.g) Not only the flooding risk from Thurnby Brook needs to be taken into account but also the risk of flooding arising from the surface water running off the roofs and driveways of new houses. Some of the sites of the houses on Station Lane were excavated out of the hillside which would make these houses susceptible to flooding.
