Gladman object to Criterion (f) of Policy F1 as it precludes the provision of large retention ponds on site to deal with surface water drainage. There is no definition in the Policy as to what the Council would consider to be 'large' and therefore the clause is ambiguous and difficult to implement. In addition, as the drainage strategy for the site is still being worked up, there is no indication as yet as to what the most appropriate drainage strategy is. There is no reasoning included within the supporting text to Policy F1 as to why a large retention pond would not be
appropriate.
