Representation Summary:

The reserve, it is proposed, should have its Local Nature Reserve status removed; this is not tenable as the status was pleased upon that area for a purpose and cannot be removed at will otherwise what was the pint of giving the area such a prestigious status in the first place? It is an ecological area of importance for wild life and environment. The area provides a corridor of safety and feeding areas for a wide range of wildlife and is part of the process of cleaning the air through the green leaf trees.

Representation Summary:

Plan unsuitable for Scraptoft.

Full text:

The planning document states (quote) '...measures to minimize the potential impact upon the Scraptoft Conservation area.....' The building of 1200 houses will have a disastrous and devastating effect upon a village such as Scraptoft. The house building which has already taken place has led to the destruction of several trees and hedgerows near The Hall, along Covert Lane, and Beeby Road. A 1200 house building project will necessitate the removal of more trees and the open and rural aspect of Scraptoft will be obliterated. Some of the listed buildings are already shrouded by recent buildings.

How can you minimize potential impact on the Scraptoft conservation area. How can you hide 1200 houses. It is impossible. No amount of trees will hide the houses from anyone's view
