A reasonable number of wind turbines have been installed in the Upper Soar and Lutterworth Lowlands Landscape. The prospect of large scale wind farms in this area would have a permanently disastrous impact on the character of the area and the lives of the inhabitants.

No wind turbines will be permitted where they would visually affect the views of Lutterworth & St Mary's Parish Church particularly from the south and east.
The term Lutterworth lowlands is a misnomer. Much of the land is in excess of 125 metres (40oft) above sea level and is one of the highest parts of the district.
Lutterworth parish church is Grade 1 listed & dominates the landscape The church is over 800 years old is clearly visible from the East (A4304) and particularly from the south &south west (A426 & A5).
The church is connected to John Wycliffe and his first English translation of the bible.
Wind turbines should not be permitted where they would interfere with the views of this very important church.
